Meet our CASP board member Rosemary Soto

Rosemary Soto works for the County of Monterey.  She serves as a liaison with community members and organizations working to reduce violence, and connects them to available public resources. She acts as a link between the regional efforts throughout the county.  Because she seeks partnerships to further this work, CASP is a natural fit for her and her interests.  The professional network around the table advances a multi-sector approach and holistic solutions.

Over the past decade, CASP has worked to maintain peace in Monterey County. In honor of those that helped create this organization and all we have accomplished in partnership over the past ten years, we hope you will join us celebrating CASP's 10-year anniversary.

1st Annual Youth-Driven Violence Prevention Conference

On Wednesday, May 30th, youth will take the platform as experts of their own experiences and share of their LIfe Story about how they became enthralled in systems that are set with good intentions to support and help them thrive. The session will include opportunities to share expertise in evidence-based, promising practices and proven models for prevention and intervention, and networking for building partnerships to enhance collaborative efforts to create opportunities for youth who need it most and address root causes of violence. Join First 5 and Bright Beginnings

Join the Bright Beginnings Early Childhood Development initiative!

First 5 Monterey County has released Round 10 of the application to select child care programs to receive technical assistance services that will improve child care quality and support inclusion for children ages 0 to 5 years and their families.

Eligible applicants are licensed center-based child care programs who are in good standing with California Community Care Licensing.

CASP Action Team Listens

Over 50 people joined the CASP Board of Directors for the CASP Action Team listening Session on March 12. The topic was "How can Cannabis Tax Policy Support Violence Prevention" Much appreciation to everyone who participated!

Weekly Group Counseling in Salinas

Community Human Services is offering group counseling. Services will be provided at the Chinatown Health Services Center in Salinas at 115 East Lake Street, Mondays and Thursdays from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m.

Medi-Cal and sliding fee clients are welcome.
