TRACKING OUR SUCCESS
From 2006 to 2015 youth, violence in Salinas is down 60%! We have also seen significant drops in youth homicides, suspensions, expulsions, and youth arrests and incarceration in the same period. This success has not been due to the work or programs of any one agency but of a collective of over working together to leverage resources and partner focused on one mission to reduce youth and gang violence.
The CASP Strategic Work Plan committee with coordination from the Monterey County Public Health Department actively tracks 24 major data points to determine our youth/gang violence prevention, intervention, enforcement and re-entry impact.
