The model for Mandated Reporter (MR) training has been updated during this time. Those in need of MR training are asked to complete a general 4 hour MR training created by the state of California, along with any other training that is appropriate for their specific group (i.e. clergy, law enforcement, clinicians etc.)

The City of Salinas Recreation Centers continue to support families across the City of Salinas on a weekly basis. Locations include;
- Bread Box Recreation Center: Every 1st & 3rd Thursday of the month at 10:30am
- Hebbron Family Center: Every 2nd & 4th Thursday of the month at 3pm
- Fire House Recreation Center: TBD
The City of Salinas Library and Community Services Department will be starting its yearly Summer Lunch Program starting June 15 - July 24, 2020 (Mondays & Wednesdays). All children/youth ages 1-18 will be eligible to receive free lunch. Distributions will take place at the listed times and locations below;
- Hebbron Family Center: 683 Fremont St. @ 11:30am - 12:30pm
- El Dorado Park: 1655 El Dorado Dr. @12pm - 1pm
- Cesar Chavez Library: 615 Williams Road @ 12:30pm - 1:30pm
The main goal of A Crecer is to better understand the factors that affect teen success and challenges during the transition from 8th grade to the early high school years.
• Determine what social and structural factors influence youth development.
• Identify promising directions to promote positive health outcomes and prevent risk among Salinas youth.
